PIKO HO-Factory & the Whitcomb 65-Ton Diesel
PIKO America brings you the newest products from PIKO... http://www.piko-america.com/ This video what shot in the PIKO HO-/N-/TT-Scale factory in China. The video is narrated by Dr. Rene Wilfer, owner of PIKO. The video shows you some of our factory and goes through what it takes to build a model today. Much of the video shows the new Whitcomb 65-Ton Diesel loco that is currently in production. These first models, the Dutch/Netherlands model and the USATC model are expected at PIKO America in late August or early September. The models have numerous details and come in standard DC versions as well as DCC and Sound models using our PIKO SmartDecoder 5.1, a fully NMRA-compliant decoder. There are even 3-Rail versions for European train fans. The Whitcomb 65-Ton Diesel Switcher is a very storied loco that saw tons of use in Europe and the U.S. These locos were used in the rebuilding efforts after WWII and many came back to the States afterwards and served on many U.S. short lines. Of course, there are plenty more models to come on this tooling including some North American specific versions that will be announced further in the future. As always, we hope you enjoy your PIKO trains, track and buildings.
