The sensation of crossing this magnificent bridge into nature already brings a special thrill. We continued our journey along the AM-070 highway and stopped for a delicious family breakfast, recharging our batteries for the day that was just beginning. Soon after, we set off for Paricatuba, a district of the municipality of Iranduba. From there, we took a catraia (tailboat) boat ride to the paradise island, where nature and riverside culture meet in an enchanting setting. Our arrival was marked by minor difficulties, but we were soon greeted by family members who were already waiting for us. From then on, the island became the stage for unforgettable moments: ✨ We took many refreshing dips in the waters of the Rio Negro ✨ We captured unique details of local life and the passing boats ✨ We made a fire and grilled a delicious Amazonian barbecue 🍖🔥 ✨ We played, laughed, and had fun as a family ✨ We rode a speedboat and ventured onto the famous banana-shaped tube 🍌🚤 – complete with fun falls, including my own inside the boat during an unexpected maneuver! The afternoon continued with even more energy: river bathing, the hustle and bustle of riverside residents, and visitors arriving and departing the island, always with that welcoming Amazonian spirit. And as if that weren't enough, we were gifted at the end of the day with an unforgettable sunset, which reflected on the waters of the Rio Negro and brought a sense of peace and gratitude for everything we experienced. 🌅💛 We concluded this adventure with full hearts and the certainty that moments like these further strengthen family bonds and connect us with the Amazonian nature in its purest form.
