Today we experienced another real day in the Amazonian interior, starting at the family farm, feeding the animals, bathing in the stream, and living the simple routine of rural life. We continued our journey along a dirt road to Seu Raimundo's farm, a man who leads a simple and inspiring life in the heart of the Amazon. We went to his orange grove, picked oranges and tangerines directly from the tree, and enjoyed a delicious regional lunch with fried jaraqui fish, rice, and farinha (cassava flour). The afternoon was marked by heavy rain while we waited for the client who would come to pick up the produce. After the delivery, we returned home braving the wet road and ended the day with more moments of life on the farm, a dip in the stream, regional food being prepared, and a touching scene: a duck raising ducklings as if they were her own children.
