Climbing Mont Blanc Unguided | Gouter Route Day 1

Climbing Mont Blanc unguided from bottom to top via the Goûter Route. Over the next three days, join me as I attempt to climb Mont Blanc starting in Les Houches, without using any cable cars or the Tramway du Mont Blanc. The goal is to complete the entire route on foot, from the valley all the way to the 4,808 meter summit. In Day 1, we begin the climb in Les Houches and hike towards the Nid D’Aigle refuge, going through Col de Voza, Plat de l'Are and seeing Glacier de Bionnassay on our way. Tomorrow, we leave for Gouter refuge, where on our way there, we'll have to cross the infamous Grand Couloir, also called the Corridor of Death. On this channel, I'm documenting my hikes and climbs through POV footage, mountain walk-throughs and climbing vlogs, so you can clearly visualize the route before attempting it yourself. Hiking and mountaineering in the European Alps, from glacier routes and exposed ridges to classic Alpine 4000ers, like Mont Blanc, Gran Paradiso or Matterhorn. So whether you’re preparing for your first Alpine trip or simply want to experience the full ascent from a first-person perspective, you’ll find detailed mountain walk-throughs showing what the climb is really like beyond the maps and guidebooks.
