Rutledge Smith Callahan 2024

Rutledge Smith burst onto the scene in the fall of 2021, quickly becoming a do-it-all defender, handler, and cutter in his first college season. His performance at 2022 Nationals earned him recognition as Ultiworld's 2022 Breakout Player of the Year, and he has garnered more accolades as he has grown into one of Darkside's most valuable pieces. Rutledge is a three-time D1 College Men's National Champion, and most recently won gold in Nottingham as a member of the USA U24 National Team. Rutledge has been a captain for Darkside the past two years, coached youth ultimate in the Triangle, and embodies Darkside's values of competitive spirit, dedication, and love in a way that inspires those around him to do the same.
