As requested by LulukaMoria_1101, here's a rendition of Elite Syncopations with the Super Mario 64 soundfont. The word "syncopation" refers to the rhythmic technique of applying accents on weaker beats, essentially throwing off one's sense of rhythm. As the title of this piece suggests, it is rife with syncopation and one can find examples of it almost right from the start. One could be forgiven for not noticing a huge difference here coming from Joplin's other rags, however, since syncopation plays a major role in ragtime music overall.
