At Your Request by club land legend Dave Betton
Dave Betton - At Your Request (Full Album) | Clubland Legend | Second Album Release (1970s) Welcome to the complete album At Your Request by legendary British entertainer Dave Betton. Released during the 1970s, this album marked Dave's second LP release, following the enormous success of his debut album Sincerely.... By this stage in his remarkable career, Dave had firmly established himself as one of the leading stars of British Clubland and variety entertainment. Produced in response to the wishes of his many admirers, At Your Request was created to feature the songs most frequently requested by Dave's devoted fans. The album captures the warmth, versatility and powerful stage presence that made him a household name in clubs and theatres across Britain and beyond. Following the success of Sincerely..., which continued to sell strongly, this follow-up release showcased Dave at the height of his popularity. His reputation had spread far beyond the UK, with successful tours of Australia already completed and visits to South Africa and other countries planned. Dave's popularity was perhaps best summed up by a trade magazine review that described the incredible reaction he received from audiences: "At the end of the night the audience said it all by giving the act on stage a standing ovation and cries of encore were chanted for at least ten minutes. Who could have achieved all this but superstar Dave Betton?" Throughout his career, Dave Betton built a reputation as one of Britain's finest all-round entertainers, combining powerful vocals, humour and showmanship in performances that delighted audiences for decades. Recorded with an accomplished band featuring leading musicians of the era, At Your Request remains a treasured piece of British entertainment history and an enduring reminder of the golden age of Clubland.
