CNC machining a cabriole table leg with DeskProto (4-axis CNC)
Machining a curved table leg (also called "cabriole leg") on a 4-axis CNC machine is more complicated than most other jobs, as the cutter needs to move below zero (below the rotation axis). This video explains how this can be done using the DeskProto CAM software, and how to deal with some typical problems that will arise. The reward will be a beautifully curved wooden table leg.
