Boston Tall Ships 2026: Was It Worth the 4-Mile Walk?

The Boston Tall Ships event was beautiful, but be prepared to walk! We ended up covering about 4 miles weaving in and out of Boston’s piers. If you want the best chance to actually tour the ships, we’d recommend going from about 10 AM to 4 PM, since the lines can get much longer later in the day. There are plenty of restaurants along the route, from casual spots to more expensive waterfront dining, and we even have a little secret parking spot that can save you some money. The crowds really weren’t terrible unless you were waiting to board a ship, and just walking through the harbor surrounded by all those towering masts and miles of rigging was absolutely beautiful.
