Luzern - Maihof (CH - LU) Glocken der kath. Kirche St. Josef

The church was built in 1941 by Otto Dreyer. However, the tower was not completed until 10 years later. The tower itself is striking due to its design with openwork walls and is intended to convey a sense of lightness. In 2013, due to a lack of churchgoers, the church was opened to all religions and events. Although the bells may not impress with their high ringing angles, they are nevertheless comparatively sonorous for the time they were cast. An interesting feature is the original control unit still present in the tower, which (unfortunately) is no longer in operation. Data on the bells: Disposition: c' d' e' g' a' Year of casting: 1952 by Rüetschi Many thanks to the parish administration for approving the special ringing and to those responsible for opening the tower.
