Algonquin Park Brook Trout Fishing Trip | Lunar Eclipse, Sucker Run & Meat Poisoning?

#AlgonquinPark #troutfishing #outdoors Algonquin Park Brook Trout Fishing Adventure | Lunar Eclipse, Sucker Run & Meat Poisoning? With my brother @Ted Baird , cousin Brad and buddies Will and Ryan, in addition to a spattering of dogs, we headed into Algonquin Park for a wild camping and Brook Trout fishing trip by canoe. After a couple Trout and several backcountry portages, we got hammered by a hail storm on night 1 before cooking copious amounts of steak over the fire. We caught several Brook Trout the next morning and then portaged out of the lake, finding a sucker run en route. Camped on an Island, we have a delicious fish fry and head out in the canoes to jig for Lake Trout. Brad catches a 4lb Burbot, his personal best. Later that night we witness a full lunar eclipse which was spellbinding. The following day it's raining and we make our way back to the trucks, fishing along the way, and I trek up a stream in pursuit of trout with North along but have no real luck. It was an awesome trip and I'm looking forward to doing a more remote spring brook trout fishing trip in Algonquin Park next year.
