INTRO ➽ Knitting a V-Neck First: I need to know how to decrease; generally every four rows. I'm no longer going to use that guide stitch in the decrease, so there are three options without compromising that guide stitch, so it's not noticeable where I made them. Second: Let's try, if possible, to have a design that goes on each side of the V-neck. Third: The center rib. For this, I must have an odd number of stitches, since I need a center stitch. If my garment is an even number and my collar is in 1-by-1 ribbing, I must decrease when picking up the neckline stitches. Fourth: I'm going to knit 1-by-1 ribbing, and therefore I must learn how to make a tubular cast-off.
