Chevy HHR Heater Blower Motor Replacement!
The blower motor stopped working in my Chev HHR, so I take it out, rework it, and put it back in, without buying the factory re-installation kit. Note, you will need a few square inches of 24 guage or thicker sheet metal to make 3 small tabs out of. I used 16 guage (1/16" thick galvanized sheet metal). You will also need (6) #8 by 1/2" long sheet metal screws. A 3/4" long screw may also be required. This should be a straight forward, simple repair, but GM decided to discourage people from fixing their own car, so they made it exponentially harder to do....I am NOT impressed by their anti right to repair design philosophy!!! :(
