Tracing the Keady-Castleblayney railway line on Google satellite and street view
A lot of the land on the old Great Northern Railway route between Keady and Castleblayney has been returned to agricultural use, but many railway landscape features are still visible including some fine bridges. Other highlights include the Keady viaduct and Taylor's Tunnel under the grounds of Connabury House in Castleblayney. Getting this line reopened should not be a problem in open country, the challenging part is getting the line through the middle of Castleblayney. The old route has been completely redeveloped, which means a new route through the town would be needed. Keady viaduct: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keady_V...
