The Ending Tricked Me 😵‍💫 // The Long Walk // First Time Watching!

Hey friends! I had a looooot of thoughts on this movie, so if you like post-movie thoughts, you'll be well fed! I had read the book back in 2019, and due to that, the ending totally caught me off guard, haha. This is one of my favourite novels, and I had, interestingly enough, been thinking about going back to it, but then the first trailer dropped for this movie. I was already reading a few different things at the time, and so it slipped away from me, but I wish I had, so I could have given a better comparison. However, I also wanted to enjoy the movie for itself, and so sometimes it's best not to read something so close to viewing the movie. I thought everything about the movie was great. The actors did an amazing job, the score was perfect (hopeful, then tense and melancholy), the cinematography, and so on. Francis did an incredible job adapting the novel!
