The Lockster System - Gimmick or Game Changer?

You see a lot of gear on social media that looks amazing in a slickly-edited video, but I've been burned before. I'll see a product, think it looks great, and then it just doesn't hold up when I get it in my hands. That was my initial thought process with the Lockster System. It's a quick-detach mounting system that lets you holster your primary platform on your plate carrier or belt, and from the videos, it looked incredible. But is it actually any good? I decided to put my own money down to find out, getting the bundle deal for two systems. This video is my complete unboxing, installation, and first impressions to see if this is truly a cool, functional system or just another overhyped accessory. Getting into the box, I'm immediately checking the build quality and components. The system is pretty simple: you get the main holster body that mounts to your gear, and a Picatinny rail adapter that attaches to your airsoft platform. My main plan was to mount the holster directly onto my belt and attach the adapter to a lightweight SMG airsoft platform to see how it felt. The process was pretty intuitive, just requiring a few screws to get everything locked down. I also wanted to see how viable it would be on a plate carrier, so I experimented with that as well. The main test is seeing how smoothly the airsoft platform locks into the holster and how it feels when you're moving around. After getting everything set up, I have to say, this is a really well-built product. It feels very good quality in the hand, with no wobble or cheap-feeling parts. What I like most is how low-profile the whole system is. When the airsoft platform is holstered, it sits snug against your body without adding a lot of bulk, and it's not getting in the way when you're transitioning or moving. It's not ugly, either; it has a kind of cool, minimalist aesthetic that just blends right in with your kit. It does exactly what you want it to do, and I think this could be a very, very cool solution for a lot of players out there. So, is this right for you? It's really going to depend on your personal preference and gameplay style. If you hate using slings and are looking for a super low-profile, easy way to carry your primary or secondary platform, this is an excellent choice. It gives you a secure mounting point without the hassle of a sling getting tangled on your gear. For me, after running it, I'm definitely a fan and I'm glad I bought it.
