UK Road Trip 2025| A town in Wiltshire: Cricklade Walkabout

#roadtrip #uk #travel UK Road Trip 2025| A town in Wiltshire: A Cricklade Walkabout Cricklade, the first downstream town on the river Thames. The town was founded in the 9th century by the Anglo-Saxons, where Ermin Way Roman Road crossed the River Thames. The Doomsday book of 1086 records a settlement at Crichelade, with a church and at the centre of a hundred of the same name. Now we didn't find any Romans, but we did find the origins of the Thames River nearby and thoroughly enjoyed our week here roaming the countryside.
