Il druido dell’artemisia: intervista a STEFANO NERVI

In this latest installment of the Etnobotanica Errante interviews, we find ourselves in Tescore, in the province of Bergamo, at the farm of Stefano Nervi, also known as the "mugwort druid." For over ten years, he has been cultivating, harvesting, processing, and transforming various species of mugwort, including Artemisia vulgaris, Artemisia verlotiorum, Artemisia absinthium, Artemisia abrotanum, and others. This passion, born from his knowledge of moxa and moxibustion, has since become a true lifestyle devoted to mugwort. In this interview, we discuss the differences between the various species, their properties, their uses, moxa and moxibustion, and the products Stefano prepares.
