Genesis Venue: Guildhall Location: Portsmouth, England Date: May 9th, 1980 Attendance: 2,000 Audience recording Audio Quality: B+ This is the final performance of the UK leg of the Duke tour. Originally this was scheduled for March 24th, but had to be postponed due to Phil's trouble with laryngitis early on into the tour. Phil's voice is a bit tired tonight, especially in comparison to how amazing he sounded only a few days earlier. Overall though, nobody in the crowd seems to mind (or care), and an exciting performance is put on for everyone. The later numbers have Phil sounding better, and I wanna give a big shoutout to The Knife from here, which is one of the best 80s versions - listen out for a totally wicked guitar solo from Daryl, and then mind-blowing high note belts from Phil at the end.
