FIJI (ImageJ): Geodesic Distance Maps [Measuring Distance Between 2 Points]

Learn how to use FIJI (ImageJ) to compute the shortest path or distance between foreground pixels of a binary mask image to the closest pixel of a marker image, while staying within the particle represented by the mask image. The plugin, which is one of several utility functions in the MorphoLibJ library, generates a Geodesic Distance Map. This tutorial shows how to use geodesic distance transform to estimate the distance from the midline or from a user-defined region of an object in a binary image to the outer boundary.
