Jalil, also known as Ayah Wa, and Tarmizi Panyang as Regent and Deputy Regent of North Aceh for the 2025-2030 term, during a plenary session of the North Aceh Regional People's Representative Council (DPRK) on Monday, February 17, 2025. On that occasion, Mualem invited the two leaders in North Aceh to collaborate with him to advance North Aceh Regency. He stated that North Aceh possesses a wealth of potential that can be developed. Mualem is confident that North Aceh can become a developed and developed region in the future. He noted that the Arun Lhokseumawe Special Economic Zone, which was inaugurated by President Jokowi, will soon be operational through collaboration with investors. Furthermore, Mualem stated that he has included the procurement of a roll-on-roll (RORO) ferry in the RPJMA (Regional Medium-Term Development Plan) to support Aceh's economy. The ship will later serve as a means of exporting Acehnese natural products from the Strait of Malacca to Penang, Malaysia. On that occasion, Mualem emphasized his commitment to fulfilling all his campaign promises. Furthermore, Mualem expressed confidence that Ayah Wa and Tarmizi Panyang could also advance North Aceh with their extensive experience in the legislature. Therefore, on the same occasion, the former GAM Commander advised the Regent and Deputy Regent of North Aceh to maintain harmonious relations with the legislature and maintain coordination with the Aceh government. He also advised involving academics in formulating programs and providing space for the business world. Most importantly, he urged the community to support him and the prayers of religious scholars. Jalil, also known as Ayah Wa, in his inaugural address as regent, stated that he recognized the numerous challenges and problems facing North Aceh, ranging from poverty and infrastructure development to health and education.
