Mini Christmas Treat Box Tutorial Day 4 Christmas in July Craftalong Handmade Gift Packaging

Welcome to Day 4 of the Christmas in July Craftalong at Stampin’ Among the Gum Trees. Today we’re moving from handmade Christmas cards into something every crafter loves — pretty handmade Christmas packaging. We’ll be making a cute Mini Christmas Treat Box, perfect for chocolates, wrapped sweets, tea bags, mini soaps, jewellery, lip balm or any tiny Christmas surprise. It can be turned into a mini sewing kit or even a little handbag sized first aid kit. This little treat box is a lovely project to make ahead for Christmas. It’s small, practical and very giftable, and it turns even the simplest little treat into something thoughtful and handmade. We’ll create the box base from cardstock, then decorate it with panels of the gorgeous A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper. To finish, we’ll add a stamped Christmas tag, ribbon and one of the sweet little Christmas buttons from the suite. It's a little different from the usual style of box I make. Instead of a base and a lid, the base is wrapped in the designer series paper or cardstock and closed with a velcro dot.
