The tall ship of Texas comes to New York! The Elissa! July 1, 2026

Over the next couple of days, we will be welcome a lot of tall ships to New York for the Sail4th 250 celebration, including the Tall Ship of Texas, the Elissa! The Elissa came in this morning, sailing past the Statue of Liberty to dock at Long Island! The Elissa is homeported in Galveston, Texas, and was built in 1877! If you've been watching the Baltimore camera over the last week, you'll know what to expect at New York Harbor, except, there will be a lot more ships! And the fabulous Queen Mary 2 will be part of the July 4th celebrations, arriving on Friday July 3rd and staying overnight in Brooklyn!
