日本習字漢字部令和7年6月号隷書課題「身を立てること忠直を守る」

This month we will continue to learn the basics of clerical script. ・Character shapes are generally flat and almost bilaterally symmetrical. ・Horizontal strokes are generally horizontal, while vertical strokes are generally vertical. ・The distance between strokes is roughly equal. ・The first stroke is made with a reverse stroke and a kabuki. *A reverse stroke is made by entering the brush in the opposite direction to the direction of travel, and a kabuki is made by wrapping the tip of the brush inside the dot. Also, be aware of the reverse stroke and kabuki even for short dots. ・Write a turn in two strokes. ・A horizontal stroke may have a wavy line (the standard is to only add a wavy line to one stroke in a character = one wave per character). *In the clerical script assignment, we are learning "eight-fifth clerical script" which has a wavy line, but wavy lines are usually attached to main horizontal strokes or to the right stroke. The first stroke is made with a reverse stroke and kabuki, and the final stroke is made by stopping the brush for a moment and then sweeping it leisurely. ・For left strokes and feathers, lightly stop the stroke as if pushing it out. ・The fifth stroke of "Chu" is written from bottom to top. The sixth stroke is stopped and the brush is put back in. A chapter function has been added.
