A year ago, Myshka, a disabled dog, was found near a garbage dump, where the poor thing was begging in the cold. Myshka spent a long time in a Moscow hospital, recovering from the cold, but her stay expired, and she still hadn't found an owner. But by a lucky chance, Myshka's fate could change completely. One day, a long-time subscriber, Alla, called me from Spain. She wanted to adopt Tigrik, but since the dog was already happily living with a family, the kind woman noticed our humble Myshka and decided to "adopt" her. We started preparing the documents for the flight, but all plans fell through, because you know what happens. There are no flights there now. Both Alla and I were very upset, because this was Myshka's only chance to find happiness. I started looking for a carrier and found one through Gayana. The stated price was 913 euros (104,000 rubles, in our money). In our current situation, this is, of course, an insane amount of money, so we've decided to postpone it until the situation stabilizes. But staying at the clinic is also impossible. A daily stay there costs 2,500-3,000 rubles per patient, and we have five of them plus five puppies. We can't afford it. So now Myshka is moving to a rented room, for 21,000 rubles a month plus utilities, under the care of a wonderful woman, Zhanna, who nursed our Nadushka back to health and gave her a home. We'll also be moving another dog from Kursk there because there aren't enough beds, and I still have strays who urgently need to be taken somewhere. Our long-suffering Yakutian, the three-legged Karatik, is moving to Zhanna under the same conditions. The puppies will stay there until they find a family. Karatik is currently waiting for a prosthetic limb. Also continuing treatment at Moscow hospitals are: Platoshka, an Alabai dog rescued from Yakutsk by Uma; Ladushka, a spinal patient; Marusya, a disabled dog; Goshenka, a terrier who barely managed to save his paw; and Tosya's puppies (five of them) who were rescued from the house where they were born. The puppies were placed in the clinic's basement, but obviously, that's not free... Gray is awaiting serious intervention. The 21 puppies from the foster home are undergoing treatment for demodicosis. Lesha, a dog abandoned at a veterinary clinic by a volunteer, has arrived in Moscow for an MRI. So, we're trying to scrape by, but the situation is becoming increasingly difficult to cope with. Besides what I just wrote, we always face the issue of paying for the pet hotel, renting a house for the animals, food, and the daily needs of 240 rescued animals.
