Assault DEVASTATES Hordes With WHIRLING "Thunder Hammer" Axe - True Solo Absolute | Space Marine 2

In this run we are trying out the New Heroic "Thunder Hammer" which is actually a two handed axe on Assault. New Heroic Thunder Hammer (Lord Executioner's Axe) has a Heroic Perk called "Whirling Strike" which replaces the Aftershock attack with Whirling Attack and also gives 1 stack of adrenaline surge when hitting 5 or more enemies. The Executioner Axe has lower damage stats than regular Block Hammer, but has slightly faster attackspeed and 1 extra cleave. The regular block hammer has +100% damage compared to base version, while the New Heroic has only +80%. But the Whirling attack damage seems to be higher than Aftershock's damage(Haven't actually tested the numbers yet). It also feels like it has a bigger hitbox and is able to hit more units at further range. We are talking about the part that actually damages the enemy. Aftershock does still have a larger shockwave aoe. That is part of the attack that has large AoE and staggers, but does no damage. When you pick "Aftershock Improved" perk the Whirling Attack adds an extra slam at the end totaling to 3 hits. Whirling attack also seems to have slower startup and slower recovery, making it less safe to do than Aftershock. I haven't tested without Aftershock Improved so maybe it has better recovery there. The slow recovery has gotten me majorly damaged and/or killed multiple times when I over commit, for example during the Terminator Sorcerer fight. Speaking of Terminator Sorcerer, Chaos missions are going to be a lot harder with this guy around. Now I am testing new weapons so maybe if you pick nothing but meta weapons he'll be more manageable. So far he is slightly easier to deal with when you can kite him compared to fighting them in an open area like the Battle Simulator. Still haven't gotten a deathless run when he shows up though. He punishes you with teleport and ground slams when you commit to hard to melee attacks. And with the Whirling attack you can't really get out in time. Using Wings Of flame build might make it more manageable. For the hit 5 get adrenaline surge part of the Heroic Perk it seems very good, but it seems it can trigger off of a combo string and not just a single attack. So something like sprint attack double ground slam will count towards the count. Also it doesn't need to be separate enemies, so if you hit a single unit 5 times in a combo string it will give you an adrenaline surge stack. In summary out of all the new heroics this one seems to be the best since it isn't bugged for the most part and is a good side grade to the other thunder hammers. The bug it has is that the sound effect for Whirling Attack is out of sync and uses old aftershock sounds. Edit: just did a little test in Battle Sim and looked at game files and the damage on Whirling attack is the the same as Aftershock. So with the higher stats of regular block, the heroic is just a downgrade of the regular block version. The only thing it has over the regular block version is the adding of adrenaline surge stacks on 5 hits. It does come up often, but the longer recovery makes me value the regular block version more.
