Mine to Dock on the Lake Superior & Ishpeming

Between June 12th and June 16th, 2021, I visited Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to catch trains on the Lake Superior & Ishpeming Railroad. Located in Marquette, Michigan, the LS&I is one of the Upper Peninsula’s last iron ore mining railroads. With 18 miles of mainline trackage and classic General Electric locomotives, there’s plenty to see on this unique railroad.
