Satan Will Come for You (6/14/26)

Listen to Minister Leroy Wright of Sherwee Drive Church of Christ as he warns us that Satan will come for us. Sin and Satan’s influence are real and many people, including believers and religious leaders, are being led away from God because difficult truths are often avoided. Satan is described in Scripture as a dangerous enemy who prowls like a lion, seeking to destroy, and his intentions are never for anyone’s good. From his first appearance as the serpent in Genesis to his depiction as the dragon in Revelation, Satan’s methods have remained rooted in deception and temptation through the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, and pride of life. The brokenness of the world is tied to Satan’s ongoing work of temptation, but believers are not powerless. Though Satan knows our weaknesses and often attacks during vulnerable moments, God always provides a way to endure and escape temptation if we choose it. Examples such as Job, who remained faithful despite suffering, and Jesus Christ, who resisted Satan by standing on God’s Word during temptation, show the importance of spiritual strength and readiness. Satan can influence attitudes, behaviors, and even church gatherings through disruption, division, and unrighteous conduct. He can target anyone—including leaders—as seen in Peter’s denial of Christ when fear and poor company weakened him. Believers must remain spiritually alert, recognize their triggers, resist the devil, and refuse to let differences create division. Ultimately, Christians are called to stand firmly on God’s Word, resist Satan, maintain righteous character, and keep their light shining, knowing they will one day give an account before God. What will you do when he comes for you? ~Job 1:1-7
