LAGUNA ESCONDIDA, MISTERIOSAMENTE APARECIÓ EL AÑO 2023 EN JUTIAPA GUATEMALA

Today we visited Laguna Escondida (Hidden Lagoon) in Cerro Gordo, Jutiapa. It's known to be an artificial body of water that emerged in early 2023. It's believed to have formed due to the accumulation of groundwater after the extraction of materials like ballast and sand on private land. Located in the village of Cerro Gordo, Jutiapa, near kilometer 116.5 of the Carretera a El Salvador highway, behind a shopping center, its origin was caused by construction excavations that reached a natural spring, flooding the work area. Access is somewhat restricted because it's on private property, but if there aren't any crowds, you can enter without any problem.
