Early Lambing… Not Ready For This
Lambing has started earlier than expected this year… and we’re not quite ready for it. In this video, we’re moving heavily pregnant ewes home ahead of lambing, gathering up the last of the winter grazing, and putting the new wire reeler to work to get everything cleared up quickly. There’s plenty going on as we try to stay one step ahead of things. But things take a turn when lambing kicks off earlier than planned. We’re into it straight away with triplets on the ground, one loss, but not all bad news. It’s a real reminder that no matter how well you plan, farming always has a way of keeping you on your toes. Meg is back on a long line as well after a bit of a setback over the winter — we’ll get her back right. To finish it off, the Junior Crew are on hand, and Alfie makes an appearance… although Orlaith reckons he might have more sense than getting into farming just yet 😄 👉 Sheep School Shop: https://www.sheepschoolshop.com Thanks for watching, see you next time.
