The Simple Tool That Changed My Farm

This week I'm back using a homemade weed wiper that I built around 15 years ago and still use every year to keep weeds, rushes and scrub under control. When I first started farming this block of land it was a very different place, with scrub and rushes threatening to take over. A small annual touch with the weed wiper has helped transform it into productive grazing ground while using far less chemical than blanket spraying. After the job is finished, I put the drone up to take in some spectacular lakeland views and show just how far the farm has come. We then jump forward four weeks to see the results as the weeds begin to die back. The second half of the video is all about sheep. We set up the handling system, gather sheep and lambs, dose the early lambs and have plenty of craic along the way. Robbie joins me for a chat as we revisit the scene of last week's famous stuck van incident! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel.
