Great Portland Duck Rescue

The Great Portland Duck Rescue: I first saw the rescuers at SW 6th and Taylor in downtown Portland. May 7 2012 during the Monday evening commute. They were coaxing the duck family out from under a white van. The Willamette River is seven blocks away with several street crossings including busy Naito Parkway. Using people and bikes to get them in the right direction I helped with my bike and tried to capture as much footage as possible. While the humans knew the way, and made most of the good decisions, occasionally the mother duck made the best call. All 10 baby ducklings made it safely, with their Mom, to the river.
