How Fast is This Train? - EN477 Metropol Štúrovo - Budapest Keleti | #227

Finally, it's here,a video with baked-in speedometer. In the past I uploaded some videos with a simple speedometers, which were created with a custom-made Windows Phone app, and the video was created on-the-fly. Well, now I don't use a Windows Phone, and as a whole, the platform is gone. It was time to create an update, but that didn't happen for some time. UNTIL NOW :D It's still a custom Windows app, but now for post-processing. The video and GPS coordinates are separated on standalone devices and I merge them on a desktop. This allowed me to have the details for the whole trip, so I can have a speed graph and the map of the route. The first test run for data collection happened on my trip from Prague to Budapest in October, but being on a night train, it wasn't enough light for video until we arrived to Sturovo, SK. This is what you can see here. The post-processing took some time, too, as I didn't have the app ready, but now it's here and I hope you'll enjoy it. :D Please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE if you like it and comment for any route suggestions.
