🔴 DE CE NU AFIȘEAZĂ ? Asus Vivobook K513E (Suspect PCH vs. RAM ONBOARD)

I received an Asus Vivobook K513E from a follower that has an interesting history. The laptop had already been to another service, but the repair was unsuccessful there, and its condition remained the same: it turns on, but does not display anything. In this clip, you will see how I approached the diagnosis. Here are the main steps I followed: Initial Analysis & History: Why did the other service fail? Identifying the "no display" problem. Technical Hypotheses: The first suspect was the onboard RAM. Attempt to Physically Disable the RAM: Manipulating the DIMM_SEL and PCB_ID resistors, unfortunately without success. Attempt to Disable from BIOS: I experimented through the BIOS. When it was disabled, the laptop would turn off after a few seconds. Re-write BIOS (CleanME): I put another BIOS with the ME region cleaned, but the result was the same. Key Finding: While checking the PCH integrated into the processor, I noticed a specific area that was heating up excessively and rapidly. This is a serious issue. Conclusion / Verdict: The lack of a motherboard schematic for the hardware configuration of disabling onboard RAM makes it impossible to be absolutely certain, but the heating of the spot on the PCH suggests that the processor/PCH is faulty.
