The Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed ​​Railway has a main line length of approximately 257 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The train departs from Xi'an East Station, passing through Lantian, Shangluo, Shanyang, and other places, traversing the main Qinling Mountains, and arriving directly in Shiyan, Hubei Province. In Shiyan, the line connects to the already operational Wuhan-Shiyan High-Speed ​​Railway, further strengthening the connection between the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration and the Yangtze River Mid-Reach urban agglomeration, and facilitating travel for people along the line. The fastest journey from Xi'an to Shangluo takes only 24 minutes; to Shiyan, it's about 1 hour and 10 minutes, reducing travel time by more than 5 hours compared to regular trains; and to Wuhan, the fastest direct high-speed train journey takes about 2 hours and 41 minutes, reducing travel time by more than 1 hour. With these trains speeding along, Lantian, Shanyang, Yunxi, and other areas have ended their history of not having high-speed rail access and officially entered the "high-speed rail era." The changes are not limited to travel speed. As an important component of the national high-speed rail network, the Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed railway is also a crucial "stroke" in Shaanxi's "rice-shaped" high-speed rail network. From the opening of the Xi'an-Chengdu high-speed railway in 2017, enabling a 3-hour direct connection between Sichuan and Shaanxi; to the opening of the Xi'an-Shiyan high-speed railway today, providing a convenient high-speed passage from Northwest to Central China; and the Xi'an-Ankang high-speed railway, expected to open this year, will further connect the southern Shaanxi ecological economic belt. These three high-speed railways traverse the Qinling Mountains from the west, central, and east, breaking down previous geographical barriers, further optimizing the regional railway network layout, and further improving interconnectivity. With the opening of the Xi'an-Shiyan High-Speed ​​Railway, Xi'an East Railway Station has also been officially completed and put into operation.
