From Universal Orlando to the Georgia Mountains | Road Trip After Last Time’s Chaos

Come get lost with us on our road trip back to the Georgia Mountains begins where every great adventure should, at Universal Orlando’s Endless Summer Resort Surfside Inn and Suites. This bright and beachy Universal property is the perfect place to unwind, located just minutes from the Universal Orlando parks. With its relaxed surf vibe, affordable comfort, and proximity to all the excitement of Universal Orlando Resort, it was the ideal spot to start our journey back home. Before hitting the highway, we made a quick stop at Wawa, a must for anyone who hasn’t experienced it. Wawa is more than just a convenience store; it’s a road trip essential with freshly made breakfast sandwiches, coffee, smoothies, and snacks that keep you going. For those who don’t have a Wawa nearby, you’re missing one of the East Coast’s favorite stops for good food and great service. Once on the road, we took our time revisiting some familiar sights from when we lived in the area years ago. The drive north brought back a wave of nostalgia, filled with moments that reminded us of how much has changed and how much has stayed the same. As we continued up the highway toward the Georgia Mountains, we made a few scenic stops along the way to stretch, explore, and take in the views. Compared to the grueling 36 hour drive we took on our way down (check out that full trip video on our channel), this return journey felt like a breeze. By the time we rolled back into Georgia, we were tired but happy to be home again.
