Eye Exams, Birthdays, and One Last Spirit Halloween Adventure

Come get lost with us as we started our morning early in the quiet Georgia Mountains, surrounded by crisp mountain air and fall colors, as we made our way down to Atlanta for a full day of errands and celebration prep. The day began with a quick haircut in town before heading into the city to take care of some important tasks, including our annual eye exams and a bit of home shopping as we got ready for our upcoming birthdays and anniversary. For lunch, we stopped at Outback Steakhouse to try their new Platypus drink, a tropical blend that immediately caught our attention, especially since Gary’s favorite animal is the platypus. The drink, inspired by the Australian mascot itself, combines citrus and coconut notes for a refreshing and fun twist, perfect for anyone looking for something adventurous off the cocktail menu. After lunch, we made one last stop at Spirit Halloween before the stores closed for the season. Even though we visited one earlier this year in Hawaii, we were hoping to catch a few final animatronics we hadn’t seen yet. While many of them were no longer operating this late in the season, it was still a nostalgic and fun stop to wrap up the Halloween spirit one last time. With the day complete and our errands done, we headed back up to the mountains feeling accomplished and ready for what’s next, our upcoming trip to Las Vegas in just a few days.
