*Alle meine Entchen – freie Improvisation | Große Klais-Orgel St. Servatius* „Alle meine Entchen“ auf einer großen Kirchenorgel? Warum eigentlich nicht? 🦆🎶 Bei dieser Aufnahme habe ich die bekannte Kinderliedmelodie einfach als Ausgangspunkt genommen und frei darüber improvisiert – ohne festes Arrangement und ohne großen Plan. Dabei durfte sich die Melodie ein bisschen durch die verschiedenen Klangfarben der großen Klais-Orgel in St. Servatius bewegen. Manchmal macht es besonders viel Spaß, nicht nur über klassische Choräle oder Kirchenlieder zu improvisieren, sondern auch ganz ungewöhnliche Melodien auf der Orgel neu zu entdecken. Was haltet Ihr von solchen Improvisationen über eher ungewöhnliche Lieder? Und welche Melodie sollte ich als Nächstes ausprobieren? Why not? 🦆🎶 “Alle meine Entchen” – sometimes translated as “All My Little Ducks” – is one of the best-known German children’s songs. For this recording, I simply used its familiar melody as the starting point for a free improvisation – without a fixed arrangement or a detailed plan. Along the way, the melody travels through some of the many different sounds and colours of the large Klais organ at St. Servatius. Sometimes it is especially fun to improvise not only on traditional hymns and chorales, but also on melodies you would not normally expect to hear on a church organ.
