Möge die Straße (mit anschließender Improvisation) - OrganFox - St. Joseph, Siegburg

Möge die Straße uns zusammenführen – und manchmal darf der Auszug auch richtig kräftig und schwungvoll sein. 😊 Dieses Lied habe ich in St. Joseph auf dem Brückberg in Siegburg zur Kommunionfeier 2026 als Auszugslied gespielt. Für mich passt es perfekt zu so einem Moment: ein irischer Segenswunsch, viel Bewegung, viel Freude — und ein bisschen Rückenwind für den Weg, der vor den Kommunionkindern liegt. Nach dem Lied kommt noch eine freie, kräftige Improvisation als Nachspiel über Möge die Straße. Die Walcker-Orgel durfte dabei zeigen, dass sie nicht nur begleiten, sondern auch ordentlich strahlen kann. 😄 Viel Freude beim Hören! English May the road rise to meet you — and sometimes a recessional hymn may be played with real energy and joy. 😊 I played this hymn at St. Joseph on Brückberg in Siegburg for the First Communion celebration 2026 as the final/recessional hymn. For me, it fits this moment beautifully: an Irish blessing, full of movement, joy and a little musical tailwind for the road ahead. After the hymn, you’ll hear a strong free improvisation as a postlude based on Möge die Straße. The Walcker organ definitely had a chance to shine here. 😄 Enjoy listening!
