Driveshaft Front Spline Greasing On The BMW R1200 RT
The rear universal joint splines on the BMW R1200RT and similar driveshaft driven bikes are relatively easy to grease. The front UV joint splines are a little more difficult. In this video I'll walk you through the process and show you my trick for re-aligning the driveshaft for re-assembly. A previous video ( • Final Drive Maintenance On A 2012 BMW R1200RT ) showed how to grease the rear splines. For grease, I use a 50/50 combination of Honda M-77 Assembly Paste and Moly-fortified bearing grease sold for Ford applications.
