Bad Säckingen – During the night of Thursday, June 10, 2021, two climbing towers at the playground on Hauensteinstrasse in Bad Säckingen were severely damaged by a fire. A resident of Hauensteinstrasse discovered the fire around 12:30 a.m. She immediately alerted the fire department, which, after the arrival of City Fire Chief Tobias Förster, arrived at the scene with three additional vehicles. According to the Bad Säckingen Fire Department, a firefighting attack was immediately initiated on site and initial extinguishing measures began.
