Akita Prefecture, Akita City, and Blaublitz Akita have reached an agreement on the basic plan for the development of a new stadium to serve as the home ground for the soccer team Blaublitz Akita. The basic plan, which includes details such as the project owner, site, and facility size, was agreed upon by the three parties as is, based on the draft presented at the end of May. Discussions will continue regarding the upper limit of the development cost at 14.2 billion yen and the seating capacity, which will range from 5,000 to 10,000 people. Regarding the use of the hometown tax donation system, which had been a point of contention, it will be treated as private funding. Both Akita Prefecture and Akita City are preparing to begin accepting corporate hometown tax donations, but it has also been announced that Akita City will not be accepting individual donations.
