Why you need to ride the Katy Trail - Day 4

The Katy trail is the longest rail trail in the USA. It is almost 250 miles of sweet gravel. Today I ride from St. Charles to the Eastern end of the trail at Machens and then on to Alton IL to catch the train back to Sedalia. From there I will ride a further 30 miles to Clinton - the Western trail head. Today was wet and windy and I had to ride the last 20 miles in the dark with scary noises all around. I have since been told these are frogs. Today was 68 miles with 1300' climbing.
