We are going to seek out the abandoned Estate to explore the ruins of this hidden piece of Minnesota history. This wasn’t just a weekend cabin; it was a 40-building compound with its own telephone service, armed security, and even rum-runners flying in from Canada during Prohibition. We explore the abandoned guest cabins, the eerie main lodge (where the bats have taken over), and the "playhouse" belonging to the heiress herself. Things got a little creepy when Toby refused to enter certain cabins, and a mysterious smell of perfume hit me out of nowhere.
