WBWG Presents: The Secret Weapons of the Colonizer; Divide & Conquer ~ Richard Ryles, Esq.

On Sunday, May 31, 2026, When Black Women Gather (WBWG) gathered for an informative and thought provoking discussion about universal conditions of Blackness as cited by our learned, well read, and well-traveled guest, Richard Ryles, Esq., who shared with us, among other things, his views and observations about the most historic and most effective method of systemic destruction of Black communities and societies globally, The Secret Weapon of the Colonizer; Divide and Conquer. Richard is an established attorney in his home state of Florida where he successfully won reparations for survivors of the Rosewood Massacre and where he also served as a former City Commissioner in lovely West Palm Beach. He is a respected podcaster of the very popular program, The Ryles Report. He is a published author and a connoisseur of all things Black, Black history and Black literature are high on that list. Richard now adds to his repertoire of distinguished works, his newly released book, The Immortal Jim Crow, Growing Up Under the System that Still Haunts Us Today, where he intertwines family history with personal and professional experiences to include world travels, and growing up and practicing law in the state of Florida, to demonstrate global systems of racism, discrimination and oppression. It is impossible to have a conversation with Richard and not be enlightened. He is an all-around interesting person who I had the pleasure of meeting in a book club while living in Florida.
