Double Cabriole Devant
This video presents double cabriole devant by Herman Cornejo, Roberto Bolle, and Frederico Bonelli. A cabiole (ka-bree-awl) is step in which the dancer’s legs are beaten in the air. The working leg is first thrust into the air while the supporting leg then beats against the first leg. The dancer lands on the supporting leg while the working leg is in the air. Cabrioles can be done devant (front) or derrieré (back). A double cabriole devant is a bravura step for men that is spectacular when done well, with easily identifiable, articulated beats. The dancer lifts his working leg to the front and beats his legs two times, landing on the bottom leg.
