Power went out during the voyage. We connected the emergency switch to restore power and continued sailing. A 47-hour voyage from Aruba to Santa Marta, Colombia. The service battery, which had been in use for four and a half years, suddenly failed due to voltage fluctuations. With both navigational instruments and winches dead, we resolved the issue by connecting the portside battery to the Starboard engine. After arriving in Santa Marta, we replaced the old battery and reset the system. Afterwards, all power returned to normal. We were able to take a break at the vibrant marina of Santa Marta, our first South American port, and at a resort in the jungle. Thank you to our subscribers for your continued patience.
