Time seemed to have stopped many years ago in this abandoned house. Among the items left behind, I found mementos belonging to Mrs. Marianna and Mr. Jan. I was most moved by the awards for long marital life, an ID card signed by President Aleksander Kwaśniewski, and a unique souvenir presented on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary by the Head of the Civil Registry Office and the Mayor of the Commune. Two exceptional paintings also survived in the house. One depicted a couple in love, while the other featured a beautiful text devoted to love. Throughout the rooms, one could also find the Holy Bible and books on family happiness and marital life. All these items together created the image of a home where family, faith, and mutual love played an important role. An old ROMO washing machine, family documents, and many other everyday objects that had accompanied the residents over the years were also preserved.
