Len Hayward: First Aboriginal Graduate
Len Hayward is noted as being the first Indigenous Australian to graduate from Edith Cowan University, and was the initial inspiration for the Rock Solid Foundations monument on ECU's Mt Lawley campus. This documentary gives a brief account of Mr Hayward's early life and his subsequent career as an educator. Despite living at a time when Indigenous Australians had virtually no human rights, what Len Hayward went on to achieve continues to astonish and inspire. Film by Patrizia Tonello and Graham Taylor (Abandoned Suitcase), 2016. Music: 'Avec Soin', 'Facile' and 'Ossuary 7 (Resolve)' by Kevin MacLeod https://incompetech.com/music/royalty...
