His discovery should be a breakthrough. Instead, it threatens the reputation of Senior Navigator Orath, the respected expert who originally declared the corridor unusable. Rather than openly reject Kael’s work, Orath delays it through formal reviews, bureaucratic procedures and carefully dismissive assessments. Kael begins to understand that truth alone does not guarantee recognition, and that institutions can protect established authority even when the evidence proves it wrong.
